In the future I'd like to get a quiet pc at a big B&M store preferably (I have Best Buy and Fry's and Costco in the area) as I don't want the hassle of shipping a defective computer back should that need arise.
How do I tell how quiet the PC is going to be? Sometimes the PC on sale is not on display and even when it is, it's hard to tell sometimes with all the ambient noise. My current PC is quieter (except when playing a DVD) than my PS3 (newest chip model), but I'd still like it to be quieter. Are there any good websites that give you tips on PC selection? Remember I'm looking specifically for PCs that would be on sale at Best Buy, Fry's or Costco. Not, "build your own quiet PC" websites. Every time I've tinkered with my PC's insides it's failed soon after. |
