I paid $3499 from Best Buy/Magnolia one month ago. What an awesome display. Call the Pioneer store...they had it for the same price. It could have been a sale and it's over. It does not hurt to call.

The local HiFi/Audio store where I will be purchasing my Pioneer Elite 111FD is selling it for $3699 or until another reduction.

You have to shop around. Check Pioneers site for dealers within 200 miles of your house. If you could select a dealer out of state so you don't have to pay the taxes on the Tv. The smaller guys might give you a better deal than Best Buy will.

Pioneer just lowered the list price a short time ago of $4500. When I purchased mine in July for $4600 from my Audio Store, the list price was $5000. I am not sure how much lower you should expect the set to sell for with a US warranty than either the $3500 or $4000 already mentioned.

It is a great set. Mine was just adjusted with all of the on-board menus. It made a good change. Though right out of the box it was quite good. With the adjustments though it is stellar.
