Haha, thanks. It actually reminds me of some of the ridiculous Blu-ray adverts in the beginning of some movies, or the ones they play at Target or Best Buy. "WATCHING A DVD ON AN HDTV IS LIKE HAVING A SPORTS CAR IN FIRST GEAR....."
EVEN WATCH A MOVIE RIGHT ON YOUR COMPUTER. "WHOOOOOOOOOA!!!!!!!!!" |

Being serious i love Scotland and would never leave this country. Im not like some ppl who only call Scotland there home when times are good and then get on the first boat when things get bad.

lol ok so your telling me there is still lot's of potential in developing PQ. Audio i will accept but come on 1080p has hit the max for PQ.
You will need a TV of 60 inches or more to see any difference which will be very little at best any way. If your thinking holo technology is coming along any time soon the first TV's are not even due out till 2019-2020 at best. |

I think it depends on how far the studios want to go from here on out... There's no doubt eventually HT enthusiasts will be using 4k projectors, but do the studios really want THAT high quality versions of their prints floating around? It was bad enough with BD that they wouldn't allow full 1080p without HDMI connections and a whole new set of encryption and security. One thing I've learned about technology is never say never. _Bolt_ is right, in 10 years (2019) Blu won't look quite as shiny as it does now ![]() To put it in perspective... we're only watching 2MP images on our HDTVs right now, lol Last edited by JTH182; 12-05-2008 at 08:56 AM. |

And the bigger the TV, the greater the distance you will need to sit across to watch it, making the PQ difference moot.
