Default HD DVD is... Death Proof!

Okay, okay, before you start murdering me on posting an HD thread on Blu-ray.com, let me explain. I was 1st an HD DVD adopter and have been blu/purple since September '08 (post "war"). The HDs & Blus are both quality products, I have 150 HD DVDs & will not be getting rid of em. Most I got at amazing deals anyhow. Now the funniness:

Death Proof (in steelbook) was to be released on HD DVD May 31st, 2008 in Germany. The release was canceled like so many others (overseas: No Country.., We Own the Night, 30 Days of Night, etc.), however many of the discs & cases had already been produced. They have been sitting in a warehouse for months now and much like the HD DVD for P2, will actually be reaching the shelves of consumers. On Dec. 15th 2008, the disc will be available from a bunch of online retailers for about 10 Euros. Fine deal if ya ask me. So I ordered mine lol. Anyone else surprised by this?

Oh sorry, its 8,19 EUR - 10 EUR. I ordered 2 of 'em and it stated it was less than $22 US for the 2. I'm a DVD/HD/Blu collector sorta, so why not.

Sounds cool. Ive thought about getting a HD DVD player and some discs just for the hell of it. The FYE by my house is still selling used HD DVDs for $10-$15 usd. They are out of their mind!

I'm not sure if you are serious about that or not, but at the moment I am only looking to trade at the moment, selling as last resort

I honestly thought that when I got my HD players (ya.. got a backup), I'd only get maybe 70 -80 discs. Well after so many great bargain bins hit Canada, I picked up tons for $5 - $7, a few used for $10, and a bunch of more expensive imports that are still weren't even on blu (like 3 Days of the Condor, The Island, The Jackal). Now I'm at around 150 HD discs, most of which I will keep, can only think of about 10 to get rid of now. Up to 31 Blus now too since late Sept. Luvs me the HD movies.
