Do I get all my save data in the other ps3 they are sending me or do I have to start from scratch??

You should back it up if you can pretty sure you get it back clean slate

to a external hdd if you have one or your save data and settings to a usb if you are limited on space.

nope, comes back clean, could even be a different refurbished unit. if you have any discs stuck in the drive they will return those if you tell them they are in there.

Your trophies are tied to your username. So if you log in on the same name with a new system and/or new harddrive, they should all be there.

wait wait wait what r u sending your playstation 3 in for.. because i recently sent mine in and back up everything and when i got it back everything was still there themes movies music download pictures nothing was touched!!

Make sure your trophies have been synchronised with the PlayStation Network.

Game > Trophy Collection

Just accessing this list should synchronise your progress with the PSN but you can be extra-sure by pressing

on the Trophy Collection icon and there should be an option to manually synchronise.

Ok..I'm going to try to turn my playstation 2morrow and synchronise my trophy collection..Wish me luck

same boat as you, waiting for the box to arrive so I can send my ps3 to sony as well. I did jump on my cousins ps3 and all my trophies were still active and all online stats are still there, just no game data if you do not back it up.
