Default PS3 Folding location question

I am folding@home on my PS3, but I am curious about what dot I am on the map.

I am living in Seoul, South Korea. I list my Playstation account as being in Iowa (USA), however.

When I am folding in Seoul, there is often just one "dot" on the map where Seoul is. Is my PS3 the Seoul dot, or one of the Iowa/USA dots? Is it judging location by my IP Address, or my Playstation ID?

Thanks... just really curious!

goes by IP address. Yellow dots sometimes represent more than 1 connection however.. I notice that as well as I am folding from Omaha Nebraska, and I only see 1 or 2 dots, and I know at least 3 are folding.

If you are looking for a team to join, feel free to join ours we are team ID 55774! Would be nice to have someone from Seoul aka Iowa on there.

I would gladly accept your invite, but I set up my own mini folding-farm of computers here at my university. So far, 6 CPUs (including my PS3) have sent in finished work.
