French Connection Delayed To February - Blu-ray Forum

In case anyone hasn't seen this, The French Connection and The French Connection II have been delayed another month - to 2/24/09. I guess its just one more month, but with Dr. Strangelove delayed and Taxi Driver in doubt, I'm bummed.

Somone just posted info on the EUROPE page about the copy he ord from amazon.co/uk is in fact REGION FREE lists REGION A B C on teh back cover and plays on his PS3.

It is already out to be ordered.

Not good news...I am looking foward to the French Connection I and II. Hopefully, there will be NO further delays.

French Connection II has actually not been delayed, if I recall correctly. Originally, French Connection I was to be released a month earlier than French Connection II, which seemed very odd to me. Delaying the original a month to debut the same day as the sequel is not a big deal. Sure, it would have been nicer if the sequel was pushed forward a month, but meh.

As for Taxi Driver and Dr. Strangelove - those were NEVER officially announced. Retailer alerts were sent, and that resulted in many sites reporting the news - but Sony never made a press release officially announcing these, so it's hard to have a delay when there was never an initial solid date to begin with.
