Default blu ray mentioned on NFL today...

Was anyone watching Fox NFL football yesterday? Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, and Michael Strahan were all talking about blu ray. They were originally promoting The Dark Night and they actually had a blu ray copy of it at the desk, holding it up. And then Terry was like "oh yeah, I have blu ray, do you have blu ray?!?" I think the only one that said he didn't have it was Jimmy Johnson. It was pretty cool and great promotion!

Damn....and here I thought you were going to say that they had announced a new NFL BR. I mean seriously, who doesn't think the NFL would have to be completely insane not to start releasing the HD broadcasts of Super Bowls from here on out?

And let's be honest, once you watch the Pittsburgh Steelers win in HDTV, its kind of hard to watch any NFL game in standard definition again.

???

Who watches reruns of a game? It's only fun the first time, after that you know everything that's going to happen. Just my opinion anyways. Glad to see Blu-ray becoming more "mainstream".

That should cause a spike in Blu-ray player sales at Walmart.

I'd love to see "reruns" of the older superbowls. Oddly I missed being able to watch Superbowl I-XX or so live on TV.

I'm almost always at work when theres any games worth watching on, so of course I put them on in HD... but I would love some of those NFL greatest hits or follies vids on BD!

I have a lot of customers who complain about disc prices and only pick up big releases (think Iron Man) and still buy a lot of DVDs... but once you have the hardware at a mass-adoption level the software should drop in price significantly.
