Talking My First Blu Ray Film

Well yesterday i went out and purchased the 60gig PS3 and got Casino Royal BD with it. Also picked up Resistance. I have to say the picture and sound is incredible. Watched it on a Sony 32" Bravia. I bought the PS3 for the bedroom and plan on picking up a dedicated player for the TV room later on in the year.

I already had the Toshiba HD player and have approx 20 HD discs but it looks like BR is going to be getting alot of my money in the future.

You should try the PS3 on the HDTV in your TV room. And then it'll never leave that spot.

I haven't decided on the dedicated player yet but I was leaning towards the Pioneer Elite. I have always bought Pioneer DVD players. But after watching the movie on the PS3 this might be a cheaper option even for the tv room. Anyone connect this up to a surround sound system. I have a nice set of Bowers & Wilkins in the TV room which i want to keep but may have to upgrade my Yahama amp for HD sound. Any advice?

The Sony PS3 will be fine for your TV room. Now if your display accepts a 1080P/24 input and refreshes the image at multiplies of the original frame then go with the Pioneer Elite.
By far the Pioneer BDP-HD1 currently has the best picture quality compared to any other player according to Sound and Vision, Perfect Vision and other sources.

Qoute from Sound and vision
If your main goal is getting top-notch video performance from a Blu-ray Disc player, Pioneer's BDP-HD1 is the one to buy. Of the four players I've tested so far, this model was by far the picture-quality standout.”
