Dexter season 3 finale coming up!!

Who here is on pins and needles to see what happens in the final episode?? I'd like a 2 hour one, but that won't happen

I'm pretty excited about the finale, and with the Debra digging into her father's past...which hopefully will lead to her finding about the ITK and Dexter (next season) On the whole this season is been awesome...so much suspense

agreed, they need a 2 hour finale for this season. I've been very impressed as they have been able to maintain the quality and suspense of the first two seasons.

to OP: I think he will have to at some point.

If you have HD and Showtime, you can watch season 2 on OnDemand in HD! That is what I did.

From the looks of last weeks preview, it looks like a bunch of crap is going to go down in the final 1 hour episode. Can't wait.

I have just been starting to get back into this season again the past couple episodes and I am looking forward to the season finale (It is only a matter of time for Miguel's bro).

Personally though, Season 3 just hasn't compared to 1 & 2 (still good, but not great.) I think it is because I hate the pregnancy/marriage subplot, and the antagonists just don't compare.

(Season 1: Ice Truck Killer vs Season 2: Doakes, Lundy, FBI, and Lila vs Season 3: The District Attorney and his family)
Sorry, but The District Attorney and his family just doesn't compare. It hasn't jumped the Shark yet, and I will keep watching.......just not as excited about Season 3 as I was about the end of Seasons 1 & 2.

I remember buying both season 1 and 2 on dvd...and upon watching a couple of episodes from season 1, told my wife about it. She wasnt 'feeling it', that is until she watched it. She is majorly hooked now. I love that show!

I actually think the show keeps getting better and better. Miguel is a different kind of antagonist, and I really like how the show twisted down a different path instead of rehashing things from the past.

Especially last night with the trunk. I never, ever, saw that coming. It was hilarious.

end of season 2? Excited about what...they completely rapped up the story after season 2...he got off scott free...season 3 had to build up a story again, so they couldn't just pick up like they did after 1...and its been pretty damn good

I meant as excited as I was right before the last episode of the season. Season 3 has gotten better since Dexter and Miguel turned on each other and the black bag incident, but I didn't care much for before that when they were "friends" and the show was focussing a lot on Dexter and Rita and the coming baby.


While I am glad that they did not do a re-hashing of previous seasons, I am afraid that the writers may be reaching the end of what they can do with the character (I hope that this isn't true, because I do still like the show).
I also really don't like the pregnancy/marriage sub-plot, since it makes me afraid that the future is:
Season 4: PAPA Dexter
Season 5: The Return of Rudy.

My point is, when compared to a psychopatchic killer (the Ice Truck Killer), an Ex-special forces cop, and the FBI ----------- a glorified lawyer (District Attorney) just doesn't measure up no matter how good the acting is.

This season has been very good. GF watched the first season but didnt like the 2nd. She is hooked on this season.

yet..... I can see him having to deal with him. Possibly, but just a guess at this point.

Man this show has me glued to the TV, the fastest hour in television right now. I've also been extremely impressed at the suspense level this season, I even like this season better than season 2.

Question for those who have seen the latest episode.

[Show spoiler] Do you think now that miguel is dead, is there any way they may suspect dex did it, b/c he knew about the hair? I mean, all these people are dying around him. His supervisor is a pretty sharp gal....I'm just wondering...especially if miguel's brother goes to her.

Season 2 is pretty good, but I think you'll enjoy the 3rd better

Can't wait till next Sunday... such a great show... someone said they were waiting on season 2 to hit blu?? I thought season 1 was coming to blu in January?
I'm glad Miguel is gone, couldn't stand Jimmy Smit..
I just hope there is a good twist in the finale, we all know Dexter isn't going to get caught so they should lead into the next season and leave everyone hanging like last weeks show...

Didn't read a lot of this thread because I'm 3 episodes behind but yeah, Season 3 has been really good. Season 2 was the worst of the three but it was still enjoyable. I may work on getting caught up tonight.

Great episode I can't believe the season is almost ever. Still the best show on television and I have been very impressed so far. Jimmy Smits is amazing. I can't wait to see what happens and how many ends have to be tied up in 55 minutes.

Also, Californication ends next week too....major
