New This Week: 04/(09)(10)/2007 Edition - Blu-ray Forum

Digital Leisure is dipping in on 4/9, at least according to HighDefDigest (and since Sony references them, they should be considered godly at thi spoint). Other than DL, it's a dual-format release week as titles are appearing in both red and blue. I'm still feeling rather blue, how about you?

Even though Dog Day Afternoon isn't officially out til Tuesday but I saw it at Wal-Mart today.

I won't be buying any of these movies this week because they don't come with lossless audio tracks as part of the deal. I really wanted A Scanner Darkly too. What a shame. Maybe I'll break my rule (no lossless audio, no buy) when it goes on sale for $14.

I preordered Dog Day Afternoon weeks ago. It was a no-brainer for me because, even though it's one of my favorite movies, I never picked it up on DVD. I still have the VHS, if anyone wants to buy it.

I'll pick up Payback eventually. I really dog the theatrical cut, and am VERY interested in this one.

Dog Day definitely, the Blu-ray is cheaper than the SD disc. Plus, you guys have convinced me to give Dragon Lair and Payback a try.

A Scanner Darkly -- that looks like a good movie. I'm also picking up Training Day, even though that's been out for a long time.

I already got rid of my standard dvd version so I have to pick it up. Mel is just so bad in this movie. Just hope I like the directors cut.

I already snagged Dog Day and Payback when I found them on the shelf yesterday. I haven't watched either one yet but really looking forward to Payback

I'll be picking up A Scanner Darkly later in the week, and I also voted on DL since I know it will be an impulse buy once I see it on the shelf. I'm old enough to remember how amazing it was when the arcade game first came out, and how cool it felt to play it through to the end that first time in the Chuck E. Cheese
