According to The Digital Bits, Gladiator should be coming out in the first half of 2009.

Sweet! From all acounts, blu-ray players have been and are flying off the shelves, so I would expect the studios to be releasing more titles from the past than ever before. Also, since mandatory High Def is slated for all channels in Feb of 09, more people are probably going to HD TVs and the next logical step is a blu-ray player to go with those new TVs.

i don't know anyone who wants the whole nine yards on blu-ray. it's a fantastic little film and i will probably get it when it comes out, but i wouldn't say it's blu-ray worthy.

Bring on Braveheart in early 2009 as I am tired of waiting for that one. And, yes! Gladiator is going to be awesome in Blu.

with the whole nine yards i meant the whole deal for both films not the actual the whole nine yards movie. Sorry for the misinterpretation.
