Dunno what grocery store chain is near you but here in the East, Giant Eagle has a ton of them. I think it's Ralph's on the West coast. And if they don't have the store you're looking for, they have Visa gift cards that can be used anywhere.

I second the idea of a Visa gift card. With stores closing it is safer to give them a Visa card that way they don't lose the value of the card in case the store closes. It also allows them to shop online for a better value, and larger variety.

Just to clear up any confusion that might have been heard on the news, the FDIC is not insuring gift cards, so I agree that the Visa might be a better option, because you never know if you might wake up one day and hear of some company closing its doors.
