Default More HD-DVD problems with THE GOOD SHEPARD

I know that blu-ray has had it's disc problems in the past, but BD has been kicked around so much in the past, I think it's fair that we have a little "hah-hah" at their expense.

From the digital bits (thedigitalbits.com):

There are also some indications today that Universal may be having HD-DVD replication issues. After select Xbox 360 users complained that their add-on HD drives couldn't read some (but not all) copies of Children of Men, we've now been getting e-mail from readers who say they're having trouble playing the studio's DVD/HD-DVD Combo format release of The Good Shepherd. We've checked our copy and sure enough, about 3/4ths of the way through the film on the HD side, the disc locks up and can't be read by our Toshiba HD-XA2. The DVD side reads fine. We've contacted the studio for their response as to what may be going on, and we'll let you know when we hear anything. Production and replication problems are certainly not unexpected when you have new formats - both Blu-ray and HD-DVD are having their issues right now. And given how many problems there have been in recent years with DVD-18 format discs, we always get a little nervous when dealing with discs with multiple bonded layers and sides. We can only imagine how tricky Warner's Total HD hybrid format discs are going to be to replicate...
