Default Insignia NS-BRDVD audio question
My dad just stepped up to HDTV and now wants to get an entry-level blu-ray player. He's looking at the Insignia NS-BRDVD, which I have read will bitstream DTSHD-MA and TrueHD but will not decode either on its own. My dad doesn't have room for or any interest in getting an amp and speakers, so he'll just be using the TV speakers. So my question is what sort of sound will he get from the NS-BRDVD hooked straight to his TV? I'm hoping the player or TV is smart enough to at least give him stereo sound. Or will he get any sound at all?
