Default FIREFOLD HDMI 1.3b/1440p rated cables...

http://www.firefold.com/HDMI-to-HDMI-C485.aspx

I currently run 3 Monoprice 1.3a HDMI cables in my system. Great cables. I also found this site online.......FIREFOLD.......they offer 1.3b HDMI cables at a similar price like Monoprice cable. They seem to be the same gauge, and look like descent build quality. They are 120Hz capable, and also are HIGH SPEED. They also are capable of resolutions up to 1440p. Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else, but I thought this would be great info............

If you go to HDMI's website and e-mail the question, pretty much every HDMI cable is capable of 1440p. Some guys are just jumping on the marketing that's all.

Firefold is a great company to order from. They are a big supporter of another forum that I visit frequently.

I noticed this when I bought an additional cable from mycablemart.com...the site lists umpteen different cables now. 1.3a, 1.3b, 300mhz, 10.2gb bandwith, etc..,

120hz is not a HDTV STANDARD.. yet... and blu-ray is not capable of it. 120hz processing is done inside the display and have nothing to do with cables

Correct....what I basically meant was they are high speed capable cables. As we all know not all HDMI cables are, that's all I was trying to say by that.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong and maybe I'm over my head here, but I thought the technical specs of HDMI were in 1.3a and all 1.3b and c did was add changes in the way they were tested.

Also, aren't all Category 2 version 1.3 cables rated for 10.2Gbps/340MHz? And display resolution was 2560x1600p? And Category 1 cables were rated for 720p/1080i or around 75MHz.
