Default Extended Cut for the Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe?

Will this version of the first installment of the "Chronicles of Narnia" be available on Blu Ray in the near future? I have the extended edition on DVD, however, maybe to some the extra footage may not be worth waiting for on Blu Ray.

Why not end the topic with a "?"

Anyway, nothing has been announced. I'm sure it will be released when Disney feels they have sold enough of the first release.

threads like this make me want to hurt someone (i'll start with OP) someone else started one last week "Heat on Blu Ray" and the op was like "any idea when it's coming out??

please avoid threads like this, just like DetroitSportsFan suggests, end the title with a "?" without the question mark it looks like an announcement, we all click thinking "oh man when is this coming out?"

Are people wanting this just for the extras of the Extended Cut or the additional content of the movie for the Extended Cut? If it's for the latter I'd be surprised. Disney should be ashamed for releasing that "extended" cut. I can't believe how pointless and incosequential that added material was. A few seconds here and there was all it amounted to. Not one significant, real extended or additional scene. The theaatrical cut is fine. The only real thing to gain by releasing the EC is to get the additional special features in hi def, but that's not a big deal to me.

I thought the movie needed longer battle scenes. Is the Extended Cut worth it? I've never seen the extended cut so I don't know.

I have seen it on DVD, a friend of mine bought the set. I short I am in the same opinion as others on this thread, the extended cut don't really bring a whole lot more. It's a few things here and there. It's really not in the scope of Lord Of The Ring extended cut.

So the battle scene wasn't any longer? I saw both films in the theater and actually prefered Caspian. The one thing I remember after seeing the first movie was that the battle was over too soon. That and the kids weren't the best actors. They could've casted it better. Freddie Highmore for example is a great child actor.

FH is fantastic. Especially in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I really like the kids though. And they were overall better in the first to me.

I believe there is 7 minutes added to the Extended cut, the original was 140 or 142 minutes (I don't have my BD close by) and the extended cut is 147 or 149 or something like that. But it's not in long scenes that you can spot quickly. It's really done a few secondes here and there. You might get and extended cut once the series of films are over and they release a box set of them.

The extended does not add anything crucial to the story. Trust.
I doubt they will release it. Maybe way down the road in 2010 when they release "Voyage of the Dawn Treader".

I should have been more specific. I really don't admire the extra scenes on the extened cut, because it's only a few scenes here and there, as everyone else has described. Nevertheless, extra scenes don't hurt the movie either. I agree with everyone else, the added fotage is not that great and the battle scenes are not really extended. This is what I like about the extended cut; It has extensive bonus material to include, a world-premiere, feature-length film about C.S. Lewis, the creative mind behind Narnia. Then you can see the complete production process, from green screen to big screen, plus additional special features. Not to say that the blu ray version does not have special features, because it does, however, in my opinion, more is better. This may not be a big deal to some, but I love special features. Another reason that kept me from buying the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe on Blu Ray is the fact the audio is not up to par with Prince Caspian (BTW I own Prince Caspian on blu ray). You can't really compare the audio on the two movies, when Prince Caspian was treated with DTS-HD Master Audio.
