Default Receiver Volume

I have a Yamaha HTR-6090 A/V Receiver in which I keep the volume on -30 dB when viewing Blu-ray movies. I was wondering if I was in line with other Yamaha owners listening levels or what. I have an Onkyo receiver that I keep on 66 dB. Just wondering if I am too loud! My wifey says YES !!!

I usually keep my Pioneer at about -15. A little lower on DTS HD tracks.

On my old Marantz I usually watched at 0 to -5dB when "experiencing a movie"...-15dB when I was being conscious of my roommates studying, and -30 decibels when I am doing work at the same time.

Sweet! Also, a Panny 35 huh? You are going to love seeing those lights on your receiver. I know it is just lights, but it makes me happy every time I see them!

Yes, that's also under the tree! My mother - got to love her. Got to also love it being $200 at Costco last week, or I wouldn't have gotten one. But you know what's funny about the lights? I always turn off my display during movies anyway!

Oh, come on, Craz! Of course it would be. I've researched that thing up and down, like I always do before I buy anything.
