The above link is a Neil Young site with detailed comments about the various editions of his upcoming Archives project, including the Blu-ray edition. Look for comments by "Archives Guy". The following are some direct quotes from someone working on the Archives:

Many of you may be considering a Blu-ray player purchase over the Holidays. As you make your buying decisions please be aware that the NY Archives set meets the spec of Blu-ray Profile 2.0 and that for best results the Archives BD Edition should be used on a Profile 2.0 player.

Some older Blu-ray players that are Profile 1.0 or 1.1 may not be compatible with our product. Firmware upgrades from the player manufacturers may or may not solve compatibility issues, depending on model of these older players.

The Profile 2.0 spec includes internet connectivity (for firmware upgrades and BD-Live) and greater hard drive storage capacity.

While not a complete list, the following are examples of Profile 2.0 players that have been successfully tested with the Archives BD Edition. In addition to reading this list we suggest that you check player reviews and specs to select the player that best meets your needs.

In case any of you are considering going the computer route, I can confirm that Arcsoft's TotalMedia Theatre works with BD-Live material. I just added a BD drive to my computer. Everything has worked like a charm so far, including BD-Live material.
