I don't know about everyone else, but when I do an extra at work I don't think "That's an extra $100". I think "That's 4 Blu-rays".

Now that I own Blu-Rays and I my gaming PC doubles as my Blu-Ray player I am obsessed with Blu-Ray! I am getting a $250 AUD sound card soon just to get the most out of the lossless audio. And I am obsessed with building up a collection. I am starting to blind buy which I never did with DVD. And I also had a bit of a mini mental breakdown yesterday cause I wasn't getting enough hours at work to pay for all the Blu-Rays!

I have about 300 DVDs since 1998 and 312 blu-rays in 17 months. So I would say hell yeah

That happens to me all the time.

"How can I afford Polk Monitor 50s with these hours?!"

I've always had the collecting bug. If Blu-rar.com didn't exist, I'd find the information elsewhere. Saying the site intensifies the hobby is like saying the drug dealer intensifies the addiction. It's the addict who seeks out the dealer, not the other way around.

It saves me money, and costs me money at the same time. I save money hitting up the sales and spending less on something I would probably impulse buy anyway. It costs me money looking at all of the AV equipment and drooling.

Well I'm still not crazy as the people that have a huge Blu-Ray collection but still have a couple hundred not even out of their shrink wrap.

I don't think intensify is the word I'm looking for.

EXPENSIVY is the word. Yeah. It makes the hobby more expensive because I know too damn much from the site.

Damn Steelbooks...

Of course this site intensifies the hobby. Especially the Hot Deals section.

Gawd, yes! My kids were complaining the other day that a good deal of the preasents under the tree were (movies) for me. The Amazon (and other) sales I learned about from this site force me to make purchases I would not normally make. I love it!

Not particularly. I think this site is complementary to one's interest in blu though.
