yesterday was the official first day. and for us it hit by dropping to 1 degree..with -10 to -20 degree windchills. brrrr

in the mid teens here this morning and windy. if its going to be this cold i want some damn snow.

has been -15 every morning for the last week here in central WI and has snowed 4 out of the last 7 days.

had snow & ice in my mustache & beard yesterday after snow blowing the driveway & sidewalks in -5. yay!!!

41 today and 70 tommorow. What is this "Winter" you speak of? I was in shorts and a t-shirt most of the weekend. And no, I don't have a guest room!

thats pretty common for you guys tho right? we probably only get below zero a handful of times per year

wouldnt be xmas without below freezing temps and snow!

usually but not until january. there have been years i was out ice fishing on my b-day, 12/31, in a sweatshirt and jeans.

not this year. it has been colder than normal in dec. this year.

Well, after the ice storm that crippled the region last week (I still know people without electricity 10 days after the storm), this most recent weekend was filled with snowfall. A foot of it Friday into Saturday, and another ten inches Sunday. Hello, winter! This morning was -7 with the wind chill, brutal!

Christmas in North Dakota usually meant lows of -30.

Christmas here in South Carolina is usually sunny and 52 degrees.

Gotta love ohio weather i believe last friday down here in cincy it got to almost 70 degrees then went to 30's now its really friggen cold my hands are freezing at work just typing this.

Sounds like SD. We went out Saturday night and it was -14, but the wind wasn't really blowing. I've plugged my car in several times already...and we are just beginning according to calendar dates

We've had 2 blizzards this winter season which only really started in Nov. I've used my 4 wheeler / plow more times this year than I did all of last year. It's going to be a rocky winter.
