Thoughts on Death Race and Burn After Reading

How were these movies and how do they look on blu ray?

I saw BAR in the theater and looooved it. Brad PItt cracked me up the entire time. As far as the blu goes....I just got it in the mail today. I hope the disc lives up to the movie.

Death Race is a entertaining fun movie and the quality is exceptional.

Burn After Reading is good as well but I didn't like the ending and the plot is a little convuted but overall I liked it. The quality is solid but nothing stellar.

I would definitely recommend Death Race as a blind buy if you like action. B.A.R I would say rent before you buy because the movie ain't for everyone.

I didn't get the chance to see Death Race yet, but I caught Burn after Reading in theatres and loved it! I will pick it up no doubt

Saw BAR last night and thought it looked pretty good. The movie overall seemed to start a little slow but picked up. My gf thought it was a stupid movie and complete waste of time. She hated the ending. To me it was a hahahaha wtf...thats messed up....hahhaha type of movie. It had it's moments.

I can agree with that, I blind bought it, the start was kinda slow, then the end to me was just that!

Death Race though, was really awesome, blind bought that too, lots of action, unrated version was cool

Both looked and sounded great, they are from Universal of course, so along with the great PQ comes the DTS HD-MA which sounded insane on Death Race. The soundtrack for BAR wasn't a slouch either, the intro music part was really great

Should have put my comment in this thread since it's more on topic. Anyway, I just finished watching Death Race and really liked it. The PQ and AQ are really good also. Fun movie.

"Death Race" has a smashing audio and the pq is sweet. The colors are a little washed out but that's how the film was intended to look. But seriously the audio during the race scenes is sick! The movie is fun, nothing special but I liked it.

As for "Burn After Reading" ... I loved this movie. The PQ was just OK but the Audio for a dialogue driven film, was fantastic!!!

Just picked BAR tonight on BD. I already saw it twice this week on DVD. One of the funniest films I've seen in maybe three years.

It sounds like the SQ is excellent with uncompressed DTS-MA 5.1, but is the PQ better than an upconverted DVD? That would be good enough for me. As long as it's worth the purchase on BD instead of DVD.

Death race was good movie for entertainment purposes and Burn After Reading IMO was annoying as all hell. But I will say this Brad Pitt plays a moron to perfection... about the only enjoyable part of it.
