Default Vantage Point - Few Questions

Place I last asked was really not appropriate as it was an old thread asking about receiving this movie via amazon.

I'll start a new thread since there really wasn't any real discussion about this movie nor the quality in earlier threads. Mods can move if one is found.

I didn't go for the rewinding concept watching this movie early on when I got it but I'm liking this whole thing more and more during repeated playbacks. This BD was well done IMHO and I recommend it.

I have some questions though. Please use spoiler cover as to not give away answers for anything to folks who haven't viewed it. Thanks!

1) What did Barnes see on the tape in his first go around when he was in the trailer causing him to rush out of it? I watched this numerous times in slow motion and didn't see anything unless I keep missing it. It is evident later in the movie as it is clearly visible but not the first time checking the tape playback. Maybe this was done on purpose?

2) Veronica certainly seemed to get from the podium to the rendezous point rather quickly which is something I didn't understand either as it wasn't suppose to be very close.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think a Vantage Point is rewinding and looking at things from different point of views.

On the first time through it, I don't think we get to know that. If you listen to the commentary, he mentioned it was a "cheat" of sorts in that they held back on the info using it as a cliffhanger.

Thanks. I don't think what I was viewing in slow motion was the entire sequence on the tape when Barnes first looked at it. Obviously it cannot be different in one place than another time when he views the tape so I think it was done on purpose to not see the entire sequence initially in the movie. BUT I'm going to keep looking at it because it continues to have me curious.

They may have goofed but time will tell.

He saw Matthew Fox dressed up as a cop instead of his secret service suit.

Thanks for posting.

I did not see that the first time when Barnes was viewing the tape and I did it in slow motion. I did though later in the movie when tape was shown again.

This might be a bit off-topic but anyone else notice that the car sounds (motors and tires and whatnot) during the chase were almost so low to be non-existant? It just felt weird to me.

I thought this movie was great. It set different point of views from the people that were at the scene. Something new for a change.

Didn't notice that to tell the truth but I'm rather intrigued with this movie presently and I admit I never spent much time with it when I first got it. I'll make it a point to keep what you are posting in mind when I watch it again.

And I'll continue to check the first tape review by Barnes but I suppose if it was there instead of later on then it really would have given away the whole twist to begin with.

It's a good concept but it doesn't have much rewatch value.

I thought that initially but for whatever reason it does for me now. And the AQ/PQ isn't anything to sneeze at! A purchase I considered not worthwhile initially but I'm glad I connected back with it.
