Fear and Loathing... German Edition?? - Blu-ray Forum

So I was surfing thru amazon.com when I somehow found a link to their "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" page. Rather than have the usual "this item is not yet available" BS, the page had a graphic and a price $36 for the film. My eyes widened and my heart began to race. I clicked on the page and to my delight, the page.... here BTW...

.... says that this was released on December 23rd AKA today!! Did anyone purchase this? According to the page, it's region free and it appears to be the German version per the "Ein Terry Gilliam Film" lettering on the box. I haven't read anything else about this and want to know if somehow has a quick review of the quality.

Aside from having a German audio option, do you believe that there would be any real difference between THIS and a US version???

oh, one of my favorite books turned into a movie. this could be stunning in 1080p if done correctly. it is now offically on my radar.

Hi,
I have the German version. It's region code " ohne". My copy also says it's the Director's cut. The US version is only the regular cut as far as I know.
