I feel like the race to the next "thin" TV is useless. There's not much point to the last 2" of depth I'd be recovering with this set vs. my current LCD. The point is even more moot if you're using a stand for your TV, center channel, receiver, or media players/video games.

Picture quality is a whole other deal, though. And it sure looks purty, ain't it?
