I have a PS3 and when I watch Blu-ray movies they seem to be very dark. Has anyone had this issue? Or know the fix for it?

I know some may say it is the TV but I have a Mitsu true 1080p TV, brand new, so I know it is not the TV. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
