Default My Panasonic PX77U

I had this set for a year or so now, I heard someone comment about the anti-glare being "Awful"? Is the PQ affected by this? I mean.. is Blu going to look worse? I'm an Videophile, and have some minor OCD. BTW The set is a 720p set.(768p) 42".

I have found the anti-glare very useful for lighted environment. I CAN'T STAND reflections from windows, lamps, etc so this is the perfect compromise b/w LCD and Plasma. I just picked up the 42PX80U. Last year, I helped my buddy pick up the 50" and he loved it so much he bought a 42" and one for his brother too.
IMHO, if YOU like the picture quality, why worry about what some knucklehead says in these forums. Just enjoy it.
I can't believe you only got the 720p you should have gone 1080!!.... JUST KIDDING I'M JUST MESSING WITH YOU. I'm a little OCD too so I appreciate the little things can bug sometimes.

I've got a TH-42PZ77U which is the 1080p version of the PX77U. Both TV's have the same anti-glare coating.

It's a great TV. I really can't say anything bad about it at all considering it's my first HDTV. It has exceeded all of my expectations.

The screen does a very good job of reducing glare when lighting is not ideal. With the lights off, the anti-glare becomes unnoticeable. In my opinion it has no negative effect on the picture quality.
