That is sad. But oh well, as long as the great line-up keeps coming, I'm happy.

End of 08, onto 09. I wonder what great exclusives awaits.

Killzone 2, INfamous, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, WKC, Heavy Rain, MAG, GT5, FF13 (Still exclusive in Japan).

Going by that list, I think we got ourselves one heck of a line-up next year already.

This is not possible theres no way the ps3 any games, 360 is deffinetely the better system.

Once you get a stigma it sticks regardless how true. Like, for instance, if the other console never got another RRoD it would still be trashed because of it.

Do other sites do the same awards like IGN, gamefaq etc?

Biggest New Story: FF XIII on 360 (repeat from above imo)
Best Wii Game: Smash Bros
Best Trailer: Resident Evil 5 (PS3/ 360)
Best Music Game: Rock Band 2 (Ps3 / 360/ Wii)
Best Graphics: Gears of War 2 (360)
Best Story: Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3/ 360/ PC)
Best First Person Shooter: Resistance 2 (PS3)
Best Third Person Shooter: Gears of War 2 (360)

I would say I mostly agree with this list with the following exceptions:
Best Action/Adventure or at least Best Story: MGS4, give the other one of the two to GTA IV. But GTA does not deserve both imo.
Best Strategy Game: Valkyria Chronicles or the latest Civ (I have Sins on PC, it is dreadful imo)
Best Multiplayer: Resistance 2, specially for its 8 players online coop mode, brilliant.
Best Racing Game: WipEout HD (I have Wipeout and have tried Burnout, imo there is no comparison, although Burnout is excellent and very fun in its own right)

That's why you can't take Gametrailers seriously. If anything it should have went to Far Cry 2 for PC.

I dunno... I don't think Star Wars: The Force Unleashed deserves "Biggest Disappointment". Despite it not being the best SW title to date, I still enjoyed that game.

I think the Biggest Disappointment award should have gone to Shaun White Snowboarding. We haven't had a snowboarding game for Playstation in what? 5 years? Along comes a highly-touted title with huge potential, and while it's fun, it's not a worthy successor to the throne that SSX Tricky has held for a long time now. I bought it on release day and have played it all of 2 times. It's just not the adrenaline rush of older snowboarding games.

You could also put Guitar Hero: World Tour in the Biggest Disappointment category. Compared to RB2, GH:WT is epic fail.

Braid is definitely the best DLC game. Hands down. Talk about brilliant. I wish this was on PS3.

WipeOut HD deserved Best Racing. Burnout is, well, the franchise is burned out.

GoW2 getting best graphics is a cop-out on the part of GameTrailers. Seriously? GoW2 for Xbox 360 has the best graphics of any game released in 2008? I want some of what they're smoking.

Cool, looks pretty good to me, I haven't played many of those games, but I'm glad R2 for FPS of the year and LBP is cleaning house!!

I downloaded the demo of Braid but haven't even checked it out yet. I'll have to try it.

Someone posted a link stating gamespot gave MGS4 that title. I don't go to those sites, rather I get EGM magazine. I'm curious who they give it to.

Ya Gamespot gave GOTY to MGS4.
Normally I don't care about this stuff at all, but I loved MGS4 so much I find that I'm quite a fanboy when it comes to that game.

I haven't played that one yet though I did play the originals on the NES, PS1 and PS2. I got bored with them but it's such an epic game I hear, I just need to try it.

I could agree with MGS4 winning game of the year, I just wanted a little more gameplay. Overall it is a awesome game with great presentation. If they do another please tone down the cutscences. I liked Gears of War 2 also, both in my opinoin could win, but we will see. As long as its not GTA4.
