Some good titles on there, but I am not buying movies JUST because they look good.

The first and third Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but not Dead Man's Chest?
Corpse Bride, lossy audio and all, but no Nightmare Before Christmas?

That list is just stupid!
In their top 50 they have the Startship Troopers trilogy

the 2nd and 3th movie are 2 of the worst movies i've seen

Pretty sure they are ranking it on how the picture looks and not the movie itself

Exactly. I think the list is more aimed at technophiles than cinephiles.

i own 11 of the 50 they list.

not counting the ones i own, i've seen 9 more on the list and only feel 1 or 2 of these are worth owning on blu.

still, i own a lot more from the list than i thought i would.

+1 I'm not sure which thread I read it on, but I adopted a new rule when buying new Blu-rays: I only buy ones that I will definitely watch at least once a year.

Otherwise, I'm better off renting those that I will only watch a couple of times.

Some of those movies on the list I could never own just because I thought the movies were terrible.

I think the animation movies should have all been at the top of the list because they are the ones that truely show what Blu-Ray can do.

I am just saying to buy a movie SOLEY because it looks good seems dumb to me, I am sure there are people on here who hate movies they have but bought them because the look amazing lol.
