Blu-ray Demo Disc's. - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone else here own or buy Blu Ray demo disc's? I own 2 of them that I got from Ebay. They are "The Future Is Blu Vol 2" and "Best Buy HANCOCK Blu-ray DEMO DISC Bonus SEALED Promo." I mainly use them for showing off my HD tv and my player which in turn has converted alot of my family and freinds to Blu Ray. I didnt even know about the Hancock one until I spotted it on Ebay. So does anyone else own these or collect them? They are good for converting the non believers. lol

Yea, I have a few. There great to pull out and demonstrate with once in a while. Just started a thread a few days ago about some on ebay. *LINK* I believe the "Experience Blu-ray" demo discs are the best ones.

Have you seen the prices of these Blu Ray demo discs on Ebay? WOW. They have went up because they are a rare thing. The Hancock demo disc is pretty good to. From what I was told those came for a short time with the Hancock movie then Best Buy and Sony pulled them.

they are pretty cool but some of the prices on ebay are just insane, I got one with my laptop with shots of casino royale and it shows the dvd version then slowly turns it into the bd version, 2 screenshots and a bunch of trailers and clips

I agree the Ebay prices on some of them are off the mark but I was told today by a guy at Best Buy the reason for it is is that you cant get them anywhere else and if you do you are very lucky. They are soley made by the Studios for Demo purposes only and not for the general public. Thats why I believe the prices are so high.

Watched this BD of 2008 Newport Jazz Festival performances and fell in love. BD was produced by JVC. Can't find it anywhere. Anyone have any ideas on how to find it?

I bought this disk, which is an in-store demo disk from someone I know.
I'm a Sarah Brightman fan and this disk has a full length video for a song/video thats never been released, so its quite a collectors item.
They were originally going for around $200 each and there is an even rarer one which is in 3D

I've got two extra (still wrapped) Pana' demo 3D discs... the newest one that was released about a month ago (labelled version 2). I may pop those up on ebay
