Help? Can't download firmware? - Blu-ray Forum

Was trying to download to cd the firmware update for sharp bdhp20u but for some reason my computer won't seem to do this. Is there any other way to get the update for this player?? It won't play any of the new blu's. Can I get a copy of the update from sharp? I know my friend has a Sony blu ray player and sony sent them a copy of a cd to update theirs.

how are you burning the file to the cd?

is the file a .iso file?

I can't even get the file to unzip. Its probably something I am doing wrong...was just wondering if I could get this update from sharp on a cd.

Most Companies will mail you one

Zip Files: How to Unzip Them

use either WinZip or WinRAR mentioned in the link...its fairly simple, and no waiting for disc to be mailed.

Just wanted to let you know with your information I was able to download the firmware update to a flash drive and my blu ray player now works fine with all the new movies. Thank you so much for your help.
