Default Pioneer 1018, what am I doing wrong? Set-up Questions.

So I just decided to finally hook it up after a week (since I just bought some speakers). Now this is what I have connected so far:

-Front Speaker (L) to the proper one on my receiver.
-Front Speaker (R) to the proper one on my receiver.
They both work, I am listening to music right now with the USB iPod thing, so that mode works.

Now I hooked up a HDMI cable into the "HDMI out" port on the receiver, and put it into HDMI 1 in my TV.

Then I plugged my 360 into the Receiver using the 360's Component cable (Blue, Green, Red). For the 360 is comes with the blue, green, red for picture, but it needs the red and white for audio (that is how I did it with just my TV). Now do I need to somehow hook the white and red cables to receiver? That however is not the problem. The problem is getting any video, I don't know which mode to select! I select HDMI 1 on my tv (since that is what the receiver is hooked up to), and I am assuming that my 360 will output through this. Am I correct? I will be hooking my PS3 up as well (when I get more HDMI cables, I ordered them a week ago from Monoprice). I am super confused, and I am going over the manual but don't get it!

Any input would be splendid.

Oh yeah and I almost forgot. I use a Shaw Digital terminal for my cable (TV). How the heck do I hook it into the receiver. There is no cable input thing anywhere. There are the old school Red/White/Yellow terminals I can use on both receivers, I am assuming that is how I do it. Correct? I would try it but I can only find a yellow-yellow chord in my house and not a red and white one.

Input would be super splendidly appreciated!!

P.S. After hooking these speakers up I am so happy I spent the extra money to get a proper system, my speaker(s) on my tv suck, it is like a strip under the screen.

Edit: After reading a bit more of the manual I think it says I have to use the same kind of cords for the 360, like Component In and Out. In which case, DAMNIT!
