I watched it sporadically over the years, but never really got into any of it. Then I started watching Bleach. Now I can't get enough of it. Also like Deathnote and Hellsing.

I've been getting into it. Caught up on Naruto Shippuden. The Manga comics are at least 30 episodes ahead. Read all of them to.
[Show spoiler] Sage Naruto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just started watching Bleach. I'm on ep. 9 right now.

Yu Yu Hakusho I'm at the part where Urameshi, Hiei, and Kurama went to Demon world where each of them went to 1 of the 3 three Kings (?) to help them.

Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Escaflowne and Evangelion get the most plays in my system, but I own a lot more. I had Love Hina and liked it but didn't watch it so it got sold. I have cycled a LOT of series through my collection and usually break even, or occasionally come out ahead on eBay.

Azumanga Daioh cracks me up.

I like good anime. You named one. Eva.

Magical Shopping Arcade

Basically anything by Gainax or Studio Ghibli.

As far as new anime:
Baccano!

Haruhi is up there as one of the best I've ever seen and it's made specifically for anime fans because of all the fan service prevalent throughout the series. There's a lot of in jokes.

Avoid Shonen Jump at all costs.

Huge anime geek here. You should see my shelves , I like tons of stuff

Chobits
Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate
Ah My Goddess
Code Geass
Familiar of Zero
and the list goes on

I hate the overly hyped cowboy bebop and Eva along with most kiddy crap and shounen junk like Bleach/Naruto/Inuyasha (which is basically dragon ball z for girls)

Anyone watch Gankutsuou: The count of monte Cristo? I rented this from BB with my girlfriend and we loved it but we could never find the next volume. I liked the art style in that show.

I was into it back in the 80's & early 90's when mecha was still big on the scene. My fav's were Zeta Gundam, Bubblegum Crisis, Macross, and Mega Zone 23. Haven't really watched any since, although I did pick up Appleseed: Ex Machina on blu which I enjoyed.

I'm an old 90's fan who watches anime that ISN'T on Cartoon Network, in theaters, or third-hand recommended by other fans of its type--

If you've literally never heard of Slayers, Ranma 1/2, Azumanga Daioh, Urusei Yatsura, Sgt. Frog or the original TV series of Tenchi Muyo (accept no modern imitations), consider large gaps in your fandom, and in some cases, now's a good discount-boxset time to find out.

(You won't find comedy anime on CN, and you danged well WON'T find it in the art-theatricals, that's for freakin' sure. )

I had the entire Slayers series, seasons and movies, and still have all of Tenchi except Tenchi in Tokyo. I sold those.

For the record, I first saw Tenchi on Cartoon Network. That helped suck me into anime.

I remember Tenchi. There were those 2 and Tenchi Universe I believe. They also had Ronin Warriors and Rurouni Kenshin. Then I found out Kenshin had another one called Samurai X

Started back in 1978 with Grandizer in France

Since then I have followed a lot of it, my favs being Evangelion, Lodoss, the films by Miyazaki san , the Macross series, films by Mamoru Oshii and Satoshii Kon, and quite a few others including Venus Wars and Serial Experiment Lain.

I generally smile when I see kids who think that anime started with DBZ or Naruto (or the abomination that is Pokemon, Digimon or Yu Gi Oh)

It's more like 50+ and it also looks like the anime is going on another filler arc.

But yeah, Naruto in the manga is a freaking beast
