Okay heres what i am using:
40" samsung 1080p hdmi to dvi cable Pc: msi mother board 2.8 ghz intel cpu 8600gt 512mb nvidia card onboard audio to speakers not controlled by tv problem: blu ray player is maximized on tv (second monitor), i start a movie and between 2-10mins into the movie it goes snowy and blanks out the whole screen. if i adjust the display settings at all the movie re appears and its fine for another couple of minutes before it does it again. i had this setup on my gaming machine that was running 2 8800gtx in non sli and it worked fine (tv was the third monitor). Do i need to remove my pc monitor and use just the tv as the only monitor for the pc for this to work? or is there another problem. Last edited by preceptor; 01-08-2009 at 09:41 PM. |

HDCP on Blu-ray discs gets annoyed if you try to display a Blu-ray on more than one screen at a time.
Usually, you get nothing or a really bad picture. Selecting a single HDCP compliant display gets you a great picture. This is only with Blu-ray! Normal computing - use as many screens as you wish! ![]() |

okay well it still doesn't work.. i unplugged one monitor and just plugged the tv in and its still getting snow. I build my own machines and this has got to be the most frustrating thing i have run into.. especially since i have seen it work perfectly on my other machine.
am i supposed to be selecting some sort of option on the player or in the display settings |

well i think i found the problem.. when the cpu gets to about 57-59% the screen goes snowy... then when it goes back down the screen comes back... i think the cpu can't handle the data. any thoughts?
i'm thinking i might have to upgrade everything |
