Default transformers EXTENDED edition

Any idea on whether they will give current owners of the regular edition BD some kind of rebate by cutting out the proof of purchase? I don't have the receipt anymore ... they never require a receipt right?

What's the estimated release date on this thing anyway? I'm guessing it will come out when the new movie hits theaters.

This will happen the day pigs fly... You just have to sell your old one and buy the new I'm afraid. I already sold mine.

The same thing with Casino Royale.

In the Insider forum someone said the latest word is like, I forget, something like 15-20 minutes extra footage. So that's too juicy to not double dip.

Depends what the extra 15-20 minutes is. If it's full-on robot action fair enough. But if it's just talky bits, not interested.

Still unlikely to buy it regardless.

How about a 20 minutes stripping scene with Megan Fox, like Pamela did in Barb Wire.

That's true, but I'm still pissed! I guess I'll have to find someone to give my original to.

I'm boycotting this.

This is a bit rediculous asking people to triple dip on Transformers (DVD to Blu-ray to Extended Edition Blu-ray).

Especially with all the other catalog titles that Paramount hasn't released on blue yet like:
All of the Indiana Jones movies
All the Star Trek movies
Stardust
Saving Private Ryan
All the Star Trek TV shows
etc.....

I'm sorry, but (Paramount) get up to date on your catalog titles before releasing a movie for the 4th time (DVD, HD-DUD, Blu-ray, & now extended Blu-ray)

I believe that these dates are unofficial. So, I don't trust them; Stardust was originally unofficially listed as December 16 and it still isn't out yet.

Also, there is no info on the Next Generation.

While I do think that Paramount has good quality on most of its releases, They still have a lot to release before Transformers for the 4th time.

Isn't the extended Transformers cut just the 3-4 minute longer IMAX version?

That's what I heard, too. I'm not sure where the other minutes are coming from...like someone said, if it's more robot fighting, I will consider it. If not, forget it.

I will have to find out what is the additional footage to determine if I will purchase the extended version.
