obviously this person hasn't got a freakin clue what the heck he is talking about. I had to look at the date to see if it was an old article. PLUS is there a reason these stupid article's are making on this forum. Seriously it's a waist of everyones time.

So the mad OPs can vent about it to other people who get mad about seeing them. I don't see the problem with it. I think it keeps us informed of the ignorant opponents of Blu-ray and what they're saying.

What was the point of that article? I never saw any facts involving the PS3 at all in there.

Everytime I see one of these threads I remind everyone it doesn't matter. Why? The majority of the public never sees the article. Heck, I bet most gamers never even heard of that site!

Read the responses beneath it. No one is buying it... the story that is. The only thing more of a waste of time than that article is us wasting time and screen space discussing it.

FUDers are like teeth. Ignore them and they will go away.

I've stopping pay attention to any Blu hate. They're just really angry because they invested in a dead format. *cough*HD-DVD*cough* Their going to have to conform sooner or later.

It's good to see about 80% of the commenters (There are a few MS hardliners in the mix) are calling the writer in his tracks. Before Black Friday, they would have blindly agreed with him.

That's what the haytorz are saying!!

They can have their crappy digital downloads and watch their movies on their cell phones (Who in the world would do that anyway?), BD's here to stay.

We're going for a record. Why don't you join in the fun!

I've been away from the computer most of the day and I apologize that I didn't try to sieve through all the threads to make sure I wasn't reposting an already opened topic.

no offense whatsoever col. zombie, but i'm so tired of seeing these thread titles/corresponding articles, even if the OP such as yourself is a devoted blu fan. everyone here loves bluray, we all know that. we all know people that say bluray is dead or dying are stupid and they don't know what they're talking about. i dont know how many more threads we need to reaffirm this, but i guess tack on one more

+1,000,000 (nothing against you col. zombie) but it's getting too mundane with these posts.

Well if this is just going to get everybody's panties in a wad, just contact one of the mods and have them delete it. Problem solved (Until the next one comes along).

i dont think it's so much that it's getting "everyone's panties in a wad." it's just that threads like this don't seem to add anything new to the forum (again, i dont mean this in a disrespectful manner). everyone here has already embraced bluray hence why we're here, everyone here already knows that people who speak out against it are silly, etc etc. what good does it do to bring an article to the forum about some nutcase who doesn't like bluray we can only make fun of them so many times until it just becomes tedious

I was about to stop it when I saw the FOX News logo. But anyway.

Consumer trends show a much different story than the MS/HD-DVD loving press is trying to convey.

I want the Full-Monty when viewing my HD content. None of this half-assed heavily macroblocked, super-compressed audio, 720p streams. As sales show, many other consumers agree with me.

Let's try not to kill the messenger/op. I heard this on my way into work on XM and I knew it was a crackhead anchor + journalist who didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

The whole premise of the segment was "Blu-ray Already Obsolete?" and the best they could specify given the title was a mention of downloads, the showing off of a projector that hooks to an iPod, and the mention of downloading films to "cards." All I can say is WTF.

Yeah, Blu-ray is obsolete because were all going to pass up the opportunity to watch pristine 1080p movies on widescreen HDTVs and opt for a blurry projector and movies that we have to watch on 3 inch screens. Uh, huh. Yeah, I'll just register that whole segment as lame.
