Please help wich Blu Ray Players are Region Free?

I heard some of panasonics players is Region Free

Can someone name the names of wich players is Region Free please and wher to buy them?

Panasonic DMP-BD30,DMP-BD35K,DMP-BD50K,DMP-BD55K

Sony BDP-S300,BDP-S500

If your asking for my opinion if there worth buying i say sure.
Two leading companies right now with blu-ray.
Very good players.
Your choice.I guess it will just come down to what you want in a player

If i had a choice i would probably go with the Panasonic DMP-BD35K

Be carefull though, no, NONE of them are region free out-of-the-box!

But the again, yes, you can MAKE them region free yourself (when you buy a hardware-modification-kit), or buy a player that somebody else already modified. Most kits/components/modified-players come from: www.bluraymods.com

I'm looking for a multi-region, multi format blue ray player, so thanks for the links

question - is HDMI output independant of disc format ?
eg I put a PAL disc into the multi-region player, is that going to work on any HDMI compatable display device, or will the display need to be multi system too ?

would appreciate any advice

Yes, that is what I meant when I said: 'or buy a player that somebody else already modified.' and that 'Most' of them come from BluRayMods.com (in Sweden). The one you mentioned is indeed one of the other ones, as is JVBDigital.com (they also modify for HDSDI output), Stegen.com (in The Netherlands), MRMdvd.com (the UK), among a few other smaller ones. So, enjoy shopping around (and look for the best shipping-fees / warranty)!
