PS3 Blu Ray region coding... - Blu-ray Forum

I bought a PS3 PAL 40GB in India. Which blu ray region applies to me?
Will it play a region B Blu Ray bought from U.K just because it is PAL?
Are Blu rays also divided into NTSC and PAL like DVDs?

In short....please tell me in detail what kind of Blu Rays and DVDs will my PS3 play (region code wise, PAL/NTSC wise...)

Please help me out here...coz there arent many titles I can buy around here. I have to buy it from Amazon.

Your Ps3 is Region C (Central Asia, East Asia (Mainland China and Mongolia only), South Asia, central Eurasia and their dependencies), so you will be able to watch Region C & Region free Blu Rays and Region 5 & copied Pal Dvds.

Regarding the other question, there is no more PAL or NTSC with Bds, it's all 1080/24p, with very few exceptions.
