I am currently looking at the iPod classic. So if I ever upgrade the head unit in my car from my current Alpine. I want to be able to connect my portable music player. I would also upgrade the speakers, maybe...

But mainly want a nice little music system in my room, that sits on the corner of my night stand. For like when I am relaxing, or if I go to the gym. I had two iPod Nano's over time. There nice, but is there anything else, I should look at? I don't like the Zune, yuck. So is the Classic the way to go?

As for speakers. I am thinking about these:
Polk Audio I-Sonic Entertainment System 2
I really like that one, has yet to hear it. But may grab that, if sounds good. I also like that is has a clock and HD Radio. So I can have FM.

Or should I spend the extra penny on:
Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Speakers for iPod
They seem pricey and well pricey, lol.
