This is a brand spankin new release. Cant expect the price to drop less than a week after its release. We will see this title go on sale eventually, but i don't think it'll be anytime soon. I could be wrong, after all Eagle Eye is pretty damn new and it's on sale at BB for $22.99 right now. Did you get the mailer coupons in your Sunday paper a few weeks back? There was a manufacturers $3 off coupon in there for Pinapple Express among others...

I'll prolly wait on this title myself. The movie was hilarious, but i can definately wait until its in the $20 range..

It will be more than a month before you see any price drops. $2-$3 at first then better deals.

a week or two after Kung Fu Panda, Iron Mann and Indy jones came out they all dropped to $19.99 for a week sale at Target

So yes you might find these in a sale a week or 2 after they come out. There have been a few others that did that samething.

Thats why I no longer by brand new.

You'll definitely find it cheaper by the end of the month. Comedies seem to drop especially fast in price. Just be patient for a few weeks, and you'll most likely be rewarded.

The studios and retailers know that there are certain people who will go buy a new release at MSRP. When initial sales start slowing down, that's when they lower prices to spark interest from the rest of us.

That's true, but I also realized that when Blu-rays are brand new, the tend to be at cheaper prices and then raise them the next day. A good example of this was The Dark Knight blu-ray. I went to my local HMV the morning of the release, and the were selling the BD of the dark knight for $23.99! Now it's up to $32.99 everywhere I look.

Yes, as has been said comedies take a steep plunge in price a couple weeks after release if you're willing to buy from places like amazon marketplace.
