"American Pie" on Blu-Ray? - Blu-ray Forum

I hadn't seen "American Pie" in quite some time and I wanted to know whether or not it was going to be released on Blu-Ray soon;
I searched for it on blu-ray.com and found that it was supposed to be released on Blu-Ray on September 08th of 2008.
Seeing as how there was no review for the release, I was suspicious that the film had yet to be released. I searched on other websites such as amazon.com and got similar results because it was back-ordered.

My question for the forum and anybody who is on it is: does anybody have the "American Pie" Blu-Ray and if so, where do you recommend that it be ordered from?
And if nobody has it yet, can somebody explain why it has yet to be released?

it has not been released in the States but I am pretty sure is availible as an import in a different country (not sure of the region code on it)... but i really want this along with Revenge of the Nerds on BD as well

It hasn't been released because no one really cares. This movie was funny when it came out, but already feels pretty dated. I imagine it will be released at some point, but I wouldn't expect great transfers or for it to sell all that well.

That was my favorite comedy when I was in high school, it has recently been surpassed by Superbad!

American Pie is a classic comedy. It seems as though Apatow has taken over Hollywood comedies and has been hitting it out of the park.

If American Pie was released on BD and the quality was good, I would gladly add it to my collection.

By the way, did the band camp chick become the biggest star from the AP cast?

By that logic, nothing "dated" should ever be released.

What about Band Camp and The Naked Mile?

It's pretty safe to say that there will be a boxset (of the first 3) when Universal gets around to releasing these.
