I'm wondering if it is possible to play a region 1 DVD on a region B Blu-ray player?

Now My friend it's not gonna work for now. maby samsung i'm not sure but for the rest nothing.

A friend of mine recently hacked his region B/2 Panasonic BD35 to be DVD multiregion. How he did it, I have no idea, I only know it involved ebay somehow. So it is possible.

Computer BD playback software? Sure!
Regions are set in the software and not the drive.
Change the region and have at it!
If you run out of allowed region changes, and since the region coding settings are handled by the player software, simply reinstall the software and get 5 region changes again.

Or...
Get a second player software and just leave it set to region B and the other to region ??? and play disc(s) with the asscociated player software.
