Default You know what I realize about new LP releases, why can't they include digital downloa

Ya
Why can't they all include digital download codes?
It's such a pain in the ass to rip those vinyls (not trying to upload or start torrents, but it WOULD be nice to have them in my car or mp3 player) and it would be highway robbery to buy the CDs separately.

I read recently in GQ magazine that a few new vinyl releases had digital download codes packaged with them. I can't remember the titles though.

All of Universal's vinyl releases have a free digital download with them.

I disagree! It's fun! It passes the time AND they get transscribed at a much higher bit-rate!

Yeah, you can archive them at 24/96.

Lord knows why anyone would convert to .mp3 with the codec support for .flac out now for just about any portable music player.

Many vinyl releases include a free digital download already. Some recent examples from my collection that come to mind immediately are:
Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
Low - Drums & Guns
Portishead - Third

Ripping vinyl is blasphemy. You will not go to heaven.

I just bought the new 20th anniversary edition of Paul's Boutique on vinyl and it came with a flac version and an MP3 version both downloadable immediately upon purchase. I got it for $29.99 (including shipping to US) at: http://paulsboutique.beastieboys.com/
