I would say it's a good bet we'll have a version of this on Blu when the new Phantom movie is nearing it's theatrical release date.

It means that more than likely the price will drop to $9.99 the day after preorders ship, but that price is good enough for me so I pre-ordered it today.

The Phantom came this close to starring Bruce Campbell. He went all through the casting process untill it came down to him or Billy Zane . . . and you known who they went with.

Just found this cheap in the used bins after getting the hdx on Vudu recently. Seems that is happening a lot more these days but am glad to have gotten a bargain on it for the lossless audio track. From what I recall, the mid 90s wasn't a very popular time for comic and superhero movies and many of them were on the more cult/campy side like Steel, Batman and Robin, Judge Dredd, Spawn, The Shadow, etc.

After years of not thinking about the movie, I got into a discussion of The Rocketeer and underappreciated pulp adventure movies. I thought - "I wonder if this is on Blu? I'd love to see it again!"

Goddamnit - why do you have to be out of print and going to north of 60 bucks? I'd love to own this, but not at that price! I wonder if I still have my old laserdisc of this. . . .

The UK release is about £5.40 plus shipping. But both the BD and DVD are region locked.

Does anyone know if Lionsgate is still the distributor of this movie? Maybe in the waves of 4K catalog upgrades, we'll get lucky.

Rights have always been with Paramount, this was part of their short distribution deal with Lionsgate.

I wish Shout Factory would pick this up already. I own this disc, but I'd love to see some features made for this. I know there was an HBO making-of that I taped to VHS long ago, but sadly it's gone, and I haven't been able to find it online anywhere.
