Default Pick Me an EA Game, since I don't know Video Games well.

I received a $25 EA Store GC, but since I've only played the two Resistances, I dunno what game to get...but just going by prices, I've narrowed it to these:

-Need for Speed: Carbon
-Burnout Paradise
-Medal of Honor: Airborne
-Army of Two
-The Orange Box

And I'd really not rather spring for these, since they're more out of pocket money, and I don't game much, but if you highly recommend them:

-Dead Space
-Lord of the Rings: Conquest

Burnout Paradise for a REALLY good racer..and great support from the developer.

The Orange Box for a completely stellar package and a game(Half 2) that everyone should play through once.

I am leaning more towards The Orange Box, due to sheer enjoyment and what you get for your money.

EA is terrible for the PS3, Mac, and games in general.

However, in that list, Dead space is the only thing that stands out.

I would tend to disagree with orange box on the PS3. It is a horrible port.

Its far from a "horrible port"....plus they released an update for the framerate and loading time issues.

The Orange Box is phenomenal...don't always believe what the haters are spewing.

http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...e2theorangebox

Lets see...it still holds the #11 Rated PS3 game to date according to Metacritic and a Metacritic score of 89 based off of 21 reviews...

thats not too shabby, I love it.

dead space if you like dungeon crawlers and scary survival stuff... if i were into that genre, i'd have dead space for sure! looks real damn good.

lord of the rings if you like multiplayer and action with some story in case u like to play at home. the battlefront games were amazing online and single player. you wouldn't think it would, but it has lots of variety, i can only imagine that aspect is much better this time aroudn w/ LotR:Conquest.

burnout paradise won several awards, i wouldn't vouch for it though, i only like gran turismo games.

if i were to get the orange box, i wouldn't get it on a console either though...

it costs less for PC and FPS on a console controller is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay lame compared keyboard and mouse.

The Orange box is a horrible port on the PS3 when compared to the X360 and the PC. It's still playable and enjoyable, but I don't know why you would buy the worst version for PS3. I will admit that if you can pick it up for $10, I would even do it. Here are it's problems:

* The person who actually ported says many times that the PS3 is a waste of time. He even admits that his port sucks. The PC and the Xbox 360 were actually made by VALVE, and the PS3 port was not.

* When the screen gets busy (happens a lot), the PS3 port has HUGE frame-rate issues. Gets to the point of being unplayable. The patch does not address frame-rate issues.

* Both the Xbox and PC versions scale to 1080p. The PS3 is stuck at 720p, and stuck at 30FPS. The Xbox version is stuck at 60FPS at 1080p.

Orange box is a game that deserves to be played on the PC in the first place. Playing it on the Xbox is bad enough. Even worse, playing it on the PS3.

dead space or burnout for sure as mentioned numerouns times in this thread.

If you want a 3rd person shooter go with dead space.

If you want a great arcade racing game with amazing support from the developer you pick burnout paradise.

You pick burnout if you only want to spend 5 bucks extra form the gift certificate , I think it's only 29.99 now.

Dead Space - but dammit, that one's $60, I have to spend $35 out of pocket, the ones in the first part of the list would've been near-free for me, (*@^$*&(@

My favorite axe to play on is my P90 Telecaster, with a Nashville fitted maple neck!

I get out my Les Pauls once in awhile for the smooth sustained tones though.
