The Unofficial, 'how do threads become official? thread - Blu-ray Forum

I've noticed that many of the stickied threads in other boards and in this one bear authoritative names, like 'The XXXX Review Thread' or ' The official "Is this title coming on Blu-ray?" thread'. Some other threads which are not stickied also carry these titles, but there seems to be a higher ratio of them stickied than non. Is this the result of them being renamed when they reach a certain size/relevance/metric? Or is this just the style around here? (And yes, I appologize, if I lurked in the shadows long enough to watch some threads go through the process, I wouldn't have needed to ask, but i'm impatient, and probably not the first/last noob to have this question. [Although the first to ask it here, if my search ability is to be trusted])

I think the OP puts it there, if they want. Mostly if it's the first thread of the subject. IDK, most forums it's different. Depends on the community.
