Default Uni U Control titles ... can't erase bookmarks on PS3

I had to format my PS3 just to get rid of them. Nevermind, thanks to 2099net for posting the solution!

In other titles you can press red to delete a bookmark but for some Universal titles red is reserved for another function and nothing in the little manual or on disc guide shows how to delete a bookmark! Jumper is one title were bookmarks are immortal. Why is this bad? I don't want it to be all cluttered up and don't want old bookmarks I don't need anymore there.
Jumper? Universal?

I've never used the bookmark feature on any title so I have no idea how they work, but did you try contacting Universal? They might be able to give you a better option than reformatting, especially since that isn't possible on stand alone players (is it?)

I guess I'm remembering something wrong. I remember it happening with a title where the red button was reserved for a U Control feature which would make it Universal. I think probably, I just ended up playing Jumper after that title and got it lumped together in my head somehow. Apologies to Fox and Jumper

What I do now is that I just don't use bookmarks and don't play movies if I can't finish it in one sitting.

Select the bookmark on the MyScenes menu and there is a Delete below the clip time reference. Just move down and select "delete" and hit enter.

THANK YOU! Why don't they cover this in the little guide booklet that comes with the bd? Maybe it's on the on-disc guide ... I admit I didn't look at the on-disc one too carefully.

I wish there were a standardized system for making/deleting bookmarks.

I also wish there was a way to pause the film and not have that popup thing come up at the bottom. Reason is I like to pause sometimes to read something you wouldn't be able to as it is being displayed to you (ex. newspaper articles)

I'll edit my OP

I am having the very same problem on the disc "Hot Fuzz". I am using a Panasonic BD60 player. There does not seem to be a MyScenes menu. As far as I can tell, the bookmarks are not listed in the "scenes" menu of the disc. Am I just not looking hard enough? I want to delete my bookmarks and saved clips, but the interface does not seem to provide any way to do it.

Ok, so I'm an idiot I got to the "My Scenes" menu by going to "Extras". I did not see it there at first. From there, I was able to view and delete all of my bookmarks. Crisis solved. I can now stop obsessing.

Took me a bit to figure it out too... here's the path...

With the film playing:

>Bring up the PopUp menu
>Extras
>My Scenes
>Delete Clips

Your rank on this site is "Blu-ray Guru" and you don't know how Bookmarks work?

The "Jaws" blu-ray and other titles of Universal like "Dante's Peak" I cant see the bookmark delete function. How can I do to delete the marks?

Hmm, it seems that there's no My Scenes menu anywhere on Vertigo UK Blu-ray. I accidentally created some bookmarks even though I don't ever use them and can't delete them now. Anyone has any solutions?
