Hi there,
I'm posting here because I've not found any solution to my problem. Here's what I need: a Blu-ray drive, compatible with all BR formats (BD-R, BD-RE, BD double layer, BD-RE double layer and so on...), external and.. Mac OS X 10.5 compatible! Maybe that's a dumb question, maybe I've not searched right, but my doubt is still living! Someone has told me that BR is not natively compatible with Mac OS X and that the OS needs a plugin for it to work properly. Is that the truth? Also the drive has to be a little affordable because if I had 550$ I'd buy LaCie's d2 Blu-ray. Because of the cost I'm thinking about an internal drive (such as some LG's) which would be boxed and converted to external and then plugged with FireWire 400 or, better, 800 to my Mac. But here comes the issue! Would an "externaled" device be recognized properly by OS X ? I also have Windows XP via BootCamp, but it is my last resource. Can anyone help me ? Thanks in advance! |
