As a slight aside, is there a difference between BD-Live and BD Java? One or two of my BDs ('The Fly' for example) apparently include BD Java features, and one of the consequences seems to be that the 'Last Memory' function doesn't work for BDs with BD Java. This is really a pain if I forget and press the Stop button out of habit if the phone rings or something. I know the Pause button will always work, but I don't particularly like leaving the disc spinning for a fairly long period if it's not actually playing.
Why does BD Java disable the last memory function anyway? It seems a very retrograde step compared to good old DVDs and laserdiscs. |
