Tell Me I'm Right To Wait On A TV

A friend of mine recently got in the what I consider the deal of the century with the 50" Kuro Plasmas on sale. He got the $2199 deal with the $600 Blu-ray player and returned the player straightaway with no questions asked. So he's basically getting the TV for $1600. And although I'm happy for him, this absolutely makes me want to cry. I spent over $2000 a mere 18 months ago on a 46" Aquos and have been bothered by LCD black levels and banding ever since because I could not even remotely afford what I really wanted (surprise, a Kuro Plasma). I can't justify buying a new TV to my wife now, only 18 months later, even though I know this is an *incredible* deal and would get one in a heartbeat if it were only up to me. So someone, please, make me feel better about not being able to get a Kuro right now. Tell me something way better's coming in the next year or two. Make me see why not getting one now isn't something to feel horrible about in the long run. Tell me I'll feel better about this in a year or two years when (X) comes out. I really need some soul food right now, folks.
